New Feature: Gen AI Review

At Patent Bots, we believe in building Gen AI into our tools the right way, meaning ways that are useful and deliver value (rather than hype) to our customers. That’s why we’re excited to kick off the new year by sharing that we’ve launched an additional feature that uses Gen AI in a smart and effective way – a new proofreading function called Gen AI Review.

Accessed via the Proofreading tool in the Patent Bots Word Add-In, the Gen AI Review uses Gen AI to search for typos and grammatical errors within your patent application. A typical application processes in less than 30 seconds, with results displayed in the Patent Bots panel, using color coding so you know what needs your review. To make an adjustment, you can click directly from the Gen AI Review results to the paragraph in your application. This feature is ideal for catching punctuation mistakes, missing or extra words, and even reference label errors.

In addition to the new Gen AI review, Gen AI powers three other features within Patent Bots - drafting of the title, background and abstract, OA summary generation, and PatentPlex Gen AI agents that let you explore a patent history or patent family. In all cases, our users are in complete control, with the ability to enable Gen AI at the account level and to choose to allow it for drafting or for non-drafting functions. Plus, Patent Bots Gen AI is secure and private, with zero data retention infrastructure.

Try the Gen AI Review and our other tools for yourself with a free, 14-day trial of Patent Bots.

Patent Bots in Action: Exportable Patent Family Trees

The ability to export patent family trees from PatentPlex is easily one of Patent Bots most requested features. We’re excited to share that this is now available within the tool!

The patent family tree is exportable as an SVG file. An SVG image file is a well-known format that stores the information as “vectors.”  The key feature is that you can zoom in as far as you need to view details, no matter how large the family is.

You can then import the image into other applications such as PowerPoint, making it easy to share the family as part of emails, client presentations, strategic discussions, and more. From PowerPoint, you can also export to PNG or PDF as needed.

Check out the video below to see just how easy it is to export a patent family tree. Then try it for yourself with a free, two-week trial of Patent Bots.
